Applesauce Bran Muffins Recipe
- 1 1/4 c. ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
- 3 tsp BAKING Pwdr
- 1/4 tsp SALT
- 2 Tbsp. SUGAR
- 1 c. WHOLE BRAN CEREAL
- 1 lrg EGG
- 1/3 c. Lowfat milk
- 2/3 c. APPLESAUCE
- 1/4 c. BUTTER, MELTED
- Stir together flour, baking pwdr, salt, sugar and bran cereal.
- In another bowl beat egg well and then add in lowfat milk, applesauce, and melted butter.
- Mix the egg mix and flour mix just till they are well blended.
- Divide the batter among 12 greased muffin tin c.. Each c. should be about 2/3 full.
- Bake at 400 degrees F for about 20 min.
- You can test to see if the muffins are done by sticking a toothpick into the center of them.
- If the toothpick comes out clean, the muffins are done.
- Otherwise, let them bake for another 5 min and try again.
