Mike's Perfect Patty Melts!
- 2 packages Lipton Onion Soup Mix
- 2 lb Lean Ground Beef 80/20
- 4 tbsp Dehydrated Onions
- 3 dash Worstershire Sauce
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 lb Swiss Cheese
- 2 large Purple Onions
- 2 large White Onions
- 1 loaf Rye Bread
- 1 stick Butter
- 1 Mustard
- This recipe can serve 2 or 4, depending upon how thick you make your patties.
- Mix hamburger, Lipton Onion Mix, Dehydrated Onions, Pepper and Worstershire Sauce together.
- Create patties.
- Slice onions and place in pan with butter and oil for saute.
- Fry until onions are transparent abd limp.
- Once onions are sauteed, pull them out and drain on a paper towel.
- In same pan, fry your hamburgers.
- When cooked, place 2 or 3 pieces of Swiss Cheese on top of cooked hamburger and cover to steam/melt cheeses.
- Pile on the sauteed onions above your Swiss Cheese and smear some mustard on your bread!
- You can place your Rye bread in the onion pan with the onion/hamburger residue to grill.
- You can also toast or eat bread un-toasted as pictured below.
