African Peanut Stew

  1. Cut the meat into thin strips.
  2. Heat a large pot over high heat.
  3. When its hot, drizzle in the peanut oil.
  4. Swirl the oil around the pot, throw in the meat strips and cook them for a few minutes until nice and brown.
  5. When its cooked, remove it to a separate bowl and set aside.
  6. Keep the pot over high heat and drizzle in a little more peanut oil.
  7. Throw in the onions.
  8. Dont be afraid of the junk in the bottom of the pan.
  9. Stir the onions around for approximately a minute.
  10. Add the peanut butter and season with salt, pepper, cumin and cayenne pepper.
  11. Then add the tomatoes and the broth and bring it to a boil.
  12. Put the lid on and let it simmer on medium-low heat for about 40 minutes.
  13. Just before the end of the cooking time, add the marjoram and if necessary some more of the other spices.
  14. Sprinkle with some chopped peanuts and garnish with lime slices, serve and enjoy!
