Mirj's Hummous Variation
- 1 (16 ounce) can chickpeas
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon black pepper
- 12 teaspoon garlic granules
- 1 cup soft white cheese (like neufchatel, I used 1/2% fat)
- Drain and rinse the chick peas.
- Pour into the container of a blender with the steel knife in place.
- Add the lemon zest and the juice.
- Add the salt, pepper and garlic.
- Puree until smooth.
- Add the white cheese and puree until completely mixed and smooth.
