Choclava

  1. For filling, stir together nuts, chocolate and 3/4 cup sugar, and cinnamon.
  2. Brush bottom of 15x10x1-inch pan with some of melted butter.
  3. Unfold phyllo.
  4. Layer about 1/4 of the sheets in the pan, brushing each sheet generously with butter and allowing dough to extend up the sides of the pan.
  5. (Keep unsued phyllo covered) Sprinkle about 2 cups filling on top.
  6. Repeat layering phyllo and filling 2 more times.
  7. Layer remaining sheets in the pan, brushing each with butter.
  8. Drizzle any remaining butter overtop.
  9. Trim edges to fit pan.
  10. Using a sharp knife, cut through all layersto make triangles, diamond shaped pieces or squares.
  11. Bake in 325F oven for 45-50 minutes or until golden.
  12. Slightly cool pan on wire rack.
  13. Meanwhile, in medium saucepan, stir together orange juice, 1/2 cup sugar, honey and 1/2 cup water.
  14. Bring to boiling.
  15. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes.
  16. Pour over warm choclava in pan.
  17. Cool completely.
  18. In heavy saucepan heat and stir chocolate and 2 tbsp.
  19. water over low until smooth.
  20. Drizzle over choclava.
