Caramel Sultana Square
- 125 g butter
- 125 g sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 12 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons custard powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- 90 g butter
- 7 ounces condensed milk
- 2 tablespoons golden syrup
- 14 cup sugar
- Cream butter and sugar, add egg then dry ingredients.
- Divide shortcake in two.
- Press one half in tin.
- Melt together and pour over base.
- Sprinkle with sultanas and cover with remaining mixture.
- Bake in a moderate oven 20 - 30 minutes.
