Chocolate Covered Raisin Cookie Mix in a Jar

  1. Layer ingredients in order given in a quart size wide-mouth canning jar.
  2. Press each layer firmly in place making sure you really pack it down before you add the flour mixture, it will be a tight fit but it will work.
  3. Attach these instructions to the jar:
  4. Chocolate covered Raisin Cookies.
  5. Empty cookie mix into large mixing bowl.
  6. Use your hands to thoroughly blend mix.
  7. Add: 1 stick butter or margarine, softened at room temp, 1 egg, slightly beaten, and 1 tsp vanilla.
  8. Mix until completely blended.
  9. You will need to finish mixing with your hands.
  10. Shape into walnut sized balls.
  11. Place 2 inches apart on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
  12. DO NOT USE WAXED PAPER.
  13. Bake at 375F for 13 to 15 minutes until tops are very lightly browned.
  14. Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet.
  15. Remove cookies to racks to finish cooling.
  16. Yield: 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
