Guest Stew

  1. Mix salad dressing according to package directions.
  2. Combine 1/4 cup of the salad dressing with the soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Marinate beef in the sauce for 3 hours.
  4. Coat beef lightly with flour and brown in heated salad oil in heavy skillet. Transfer meat to a Dutch oven and top with carrots, onion and mushrooms.
  5. Add enough water to just cover the meat and vegetables. Cover Dutch oven and bake in preheated 300u0b0 oven for 3 hours or until beef is tender.
  6. Salt and pepper to taste.
  7. May serve with hot cooked rice or noodles if you wish.
  8. Makes 4 to 5 servings.
