Easy No Fuss Pilaf Rice
- 1 cup converted rice (I use uncle ben's brand and mix half regular & half brown)
- 2 cup water
- 1/2 tbsp chicken broth concentrate (bovril type)
- 1/2 tbsp olive oil, extra virgin
- 1/2 tsp dry thyme
- 1/2 tsp dry savory
- 1/2 tsp dry chervil
- 2 dry bay leafs
- Bring water to boil with chicken broth concentrate and olive oil
- Add rice and dry herbs when liquid is boiling
- Reduce heat to medium heat and cook uncover for about 10 minutes or till liquid is almost all absorbed, stirring occasionally
- Reduce heat again to low and continue cooking for another 10 minutes or so, stirring frequently
- When all liquid is absorb, cover and remove from heat.
- Let stand for 5 minutes before stirring and serving
- Great with any grilled meat, fish or seafood
- You can double the quantities if needed
