Banana Caramel Pie
- 2 (15 ounce) cans sweetened condensed milk
- 2 -3 bananas, thinly sliced
- 1 graham cracker crust
- 8 ounces Cool Whip
- chocolate
- Caramel Sauce (Dulce de leche):.
- Take the paper off the 2 cans of Condensed sweet milk.
- Place UNOPENED cans in a crockpot, covering completely with water.
- Set the crockpot on low and cook 8 to 10 hours.
- Remove cans from the crockpot and let cool some prior to opening (you can run the cans under colld water for a few minutes as well).
- This will releive the little bit of pressure in the can.
- The sweet condensed milk will now be caramelized and ready to use.
- You can also use any other caramel recipe you have or store bought, but I find this method the tastiest.
- Buy (or make) a graham cracker crust (in a pir tin).
- Spread 1/2 of the caramel in the bottom .
- Place half of the sliced bananas, next.
- Then layer the remaining caramel sauce followed by the remaining bananas.
- Next, add a final layer of with cool whip.
- The final step is to grate chocolate on top.
- Chill for at least an hour and serve.
