Gram's Cream Puffs Recipe
- 1 c. water
- 1 stick butter
- 1 c. flour
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- Healthy pinch salt
- 4 Large eggs
- 3/4 c. Cold Whip
- 1 box French vanilla instant pudding
- 1 3/4 c. lowfat milk
- 1 teaspoon almond extract or possibly vanilla extract
- Powdered confectioners' sugar
- Shell: Heat water and butter in medium sized pot till butter melts.
- Add in flour, baking pwdr and salt to water and shut off stove.
- Mix all ingredients in the pot till well blended.
- Set aside for 8-10 min.
- After 8-10 min, beat in 4 Large eggs, one at a time.
- Using a Tbsp.
- drop batter onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 30 min.
- Remove from oven and make a 1/2 inch slit on side.
- Put back in oven for 5 min, then remove again, cut in 1/2 horizontally and fill when cooled.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar filling.
- Mix Cold Whip, almond extract, lowfat milk and pudding; blend well.
