Potato & Frankfurter Casserole Recipe

  1. In a frying pan cook onion in oil till brown.
  2. In a bowl mix flour, sugar and seasonings; blend thoroughly into onion mix.
  3. Add in water, bring to a boil.
  4. Split frankfurters lengthwise, cut twice crosswise.
  5. In a casserole arrange alternate layers of potatoes, frankfurters and optional vegetables.
  6. Pour the sauce over the top; cover and bake at 375 degrees for 45 to 50 min.
  7. Remove from oven.
  8. Pour vinegar over the potatoes and frankfurters, cover and return to oven for 5 min.
  9. Serves 6.
