Pasta and Sausage - Noodles and Sausage
- 4 sausages
- 1 clove garlic or 1 tsp (5 ml) powder
- 1 tsp (5 ml) exta-virgin olive oil
- 3 cups (700 ml) tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) chopped basil or 1 tbsp (15 ml) dried
- 1 lb (.5 kg). pasta or noodles
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) parmesan cheese
- Start a large pot of water boiling to cook pasta.
- Over medium heat, cook sausages til brown.
- Slice into 1/4" rounds.
- Return to skillet and cook for about 7 minutes.
- Stir in garlic; cook 1 minute.
- Add olive oil and tomato sauce.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
- Stir in basil.
- In the meantime, cook pasta til done.
- Drain.
- Put in bowl; toss with sauce and top with parmesan.
