Sausage Grits

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Lightly coat a 13 x 9-inch baking pan with vegetable cooking spray.
  3. In a heavy skillet, cook the sausage, stirring frequently, until brown.
  4. Spoon into the prepared baking pan.
  5. Add the cheese and butter to the hot grits and stir until melted.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the eggs and milk.
  7. Stir into the grits.
  8. Pour the grits mixture over the sausage.
  9. Bake uncovered for 1 hour.
  10. Serve hot.
