Gram's Pickled Beets
- 3 lbs beets
- 12 cup water
- 12 cup vinegar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- whole cloves
- Boil and skin beets.
- Cut into desired size.
- Put in pint jars.
- Boil together water, vinegar, sugar and salt.
- Place two cloves in each jar.
- Cover with boiling liquid.
- Seal while hot.
