Green Tomato Chowchow

  1. Coarsely chop tomatoes, red and green peppers, onions, cabbage and jalapeno peppers if desired.
  2. Place in a large kettle or Dutch oven.
  3. Stir.
  4. Add remaining ingredients.
  5. Bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Pack hot into hot jars, leaving 1/2-inch headspace.
  8. Adjust caps.
  9. Process for 10 minutes in a boiling-water bath.
