Apple Pear Cobbler With Caramel Sauce
- 6 pears
- 6 granny smith apples
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 12 cup water
- 12 cup butter
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 12 cups milk
- 12 cup buttermilk
- 12 12 ounces caramel syrup
- 12 cup brown sugar
- 34 cup water
- 12 cup butter
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Peel and core the apples and pears.
- Place apples and pears into a sauce pan add 1/2 cup sugar, stick of butter and 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/2 cup water.
- Saute for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, remaining 1/2 cup sugar, 1 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup buttermilk.
- pour over fruit and sprinkle with nutmeg.
- to make the caramel sauce, combine the jar of caramel syrup, brown sugar, water and butter in a saucepan and heat.
- Serve the cobbler with vanilla ice cream and pour the caramel overall and serve warm.
