Grandma's Spaghetti and Meatballs
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 12 teaspoon anise seed
- 1 tablespoon parsley
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- 1 tablespoon basil
- salt
- fresh ground pepper
- 1 -2 garlic clove, chopped
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 1 (20 ounce) can Italian tomatoes, cut up
- 2 tablespoons grated cheese
- 1 12 lbs ground sirloin
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 2 tablespoons grated cheese
- 2 eggs
- salt and pepper
- 2 slices stale bread, crumbled
- Mix ingredients for sauce and simmer one hour.
- Mix ingredients for meatballs and form into 1.5" balls.
- Drop in simmering sauce and let cook another hour.
