Easy Braised Pork Casserole
- 4 Polish sausage, cut in half (3/4 lb.)
- 4 bratwurst, cut in half (3/4 lb.)
- 4 bone-in pork chops, cut into 2 pieces (1-1/2 lb.) Whole Foods 1 lb For $5.99 thru 02/09
- 1 medium onion, coarsely chopped King Sooper's 1 lb For $0.99 thru 02/09
- 6 cups thinly shredded green cabbage
- 4 medium potatoes, cut into quarters Safeway 2 pkg For $5.00 thru 02/09
- 2 medium carrots, coarsely chopped Target 2 lb For $3.00 thru 02/06
- 1/2 cup Kraft Classic Herb Dressing
- 3 tart red apples, sliced
- 1/2 cup apple juice
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Saute sausages in large frying pan on medium-high heat for 10 min., pricking to release fat; drain.
- Set aside.
- Add pork chops; saute for 5 min.
- or until browned.
- Stir in onion; cook until tender.
- Cut sausages in half.
- Mix apples and vegetables with dressing.
- Layer on bottom of large casserole dish.
- Top with meat pieces and cover with apple juice.
- Bake 1-1/2 hours.
