Grand 'S Roast Pork Recipe
- 1 (4-6 lb.) pork loin roast
- 1/3 c. Mott's applesauce
- 1/3 c. Grandma's molasses
- 1/4 teaspoon grnd ginger
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- Have meat retailer loosen chine (back) bone.
- Place roast fat side up on rack in open roasting pan.
- Insert meat thermometer with bulb in thickest part not touching bone.
- Roast in 325 degree oven 2-2 1/2 hrs or possibly till meat thermometer registers 170 degrees.
- In saucepan, combine applesauce, molasses, ginger and garlic over medium heat.
- Brush pork with glaze every 10 min during last 1/2 hour of cooking.
- Serve pork with remaining applesauce.
- Makes 8-10 servings.
