Mushroom & Swiss Stuffed Burgers

  1. Heat butter in nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add mushrooms, onion, and garlic.
  3. Cook and stir for approximately 4 minutes until softened.
  4. Set to the side and let cool completely.
  5. Mix ground beef and seasoning.
  6. Measure 12 1/4 cup portions of beef.
  7. Shape into thin 4 in round patties.
  8. Place about 1 tbsp of each mushroom and cheese in the center of 6 patties.
  9. Place remaining patties on top of the patties and mixture; pinching edges to seal in filling.
  10. If necessary, lightly flatten with a spatula.
  11. Grill over medium heat 4 - 6 minutes per side or until burgers are cooked through.
  12. (internal temperature of 160*F).
  13. Serve on toasted rolls and garnish with desired toppings and condiments.
