Mexican Cucumber Martinis

  1. In small saucepan, bring the water and sugar to a boil over medium high-heat.
  2. Simmer until the sugar has dissolved completely.
  3. Set aside to cool.
  4. Put the chile-lime powder on a small plate.
  5. Using the lime wedge, moisten the rims of the martini glasses.
  6. Invert the martini glasses into the chile-lime powder, to coat the rims.
  7. In a blender, combine the simple syrup, cucumber, water, and lime juice until smooth.
  8. Strain the mixture into a pitcher.
  9. Add the vodka and mix well.
  10. Fill a martini shaker with ice and add about 1 cup of the prepared cucumber mixture.
  11. Shake well and serve.
