Oregano Chicken
- 14 cup butter or 14 cup margarine, melted
- 1 ounce Italian salad dressing mix (1 envelope)
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 3 12 lbs broiler or 3 12 lbs broiler-fryer chickens, cut up
- 2 tablespoons dried oregano
- Combine the butter, salad dressing mix and lemon juice.
- Place chicken in an ungreased 13x9x2-inch baking dish.
- Spoon butter mixture over chicken.
- Cover and bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
- Uncover.
- Baste with pan drippings;.
- sprinkle with oregano.
- Bake 15-20 minutes longer or until the chicken.
- juices run clear.
