Brown Rice Pilaf
- 1 14 cups brown rice
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 3 cups chicken broth, divided
- 1 teaspoon dried onion
- 1 tablespoon dried sweet pepper
- 12 teaspoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon chicken bouillon
- Melt butter in a skillet, add rice and crushed garlic and saute until golden brown.
- Add 1 cup of chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Combine 2 cups broth, bouillon, sweet peppers, cumin in a sauce pan.
- Add rice,bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer,cover an cook for 50 to 55 minutes
- Remove from heat, let stand 5 mins and fluff.
