Potato Burger Pie Recipe
- 1 pound lean grnd beef
- 1/2 c. plain dry bread crumbs
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 c. ketchup
- 1 teaspoon Wyler's or possibly Steero beef flavor instant bouillon
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 4 c. frzn hash brown potatoes
- 1 (2 1/2 ounce.) jar sliced mushrooms, liquid removed
- 1 (8 ounce.) pkg. Fisher Ched-o-mate or possibly Pizza-mate shredded cheese substitute
- 1/2 c. minced onion
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large bowl combine meat, crumbs, egg, ketchup, bouillon and pepper; press on bottom and side rim of 9 inch pie plate.
- Combine potatoes, onion, mushrooms and 1/2 c. cheese substitute; spoon over meat.
- Cover; bake for 45 min.
- Pour off fat.
- Top with remaining 1 1/2 c. cheese substitute; bake 5 min longer or possibly till melted.
- Garnish as desired.
- Chill leftovers.
