Brigitte's Red Cabbage Recipe
- 1 sm Head of red cabbage
- 1 med Apple
- 1 sm Onion
- 3 slc Bacon
- 1 tsp Vinegar
- 1 tsp Sugar
- "Shred cabbage finely.
- Fry bacon till crisp, saute/fry the minced onion in the bacon grease.
- Add in cabbage and peeled, cubed apple and crumbled bacon.
- Fill up with water till the cabbage is well covered.
- Cook till soft and then season with vinegar and sugar to taste.
- Add in salt to taste.
- This can be warmed up again and again, and it gets better the more it is warmed up."
