Buttermilk Baked Chicken Drumsticks

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl.
  3. add buttermilk, pepper, and onion salt.
  4. Mix together.
  5. Add chicken, stir so that chicken is evenly coated, and set aside to marinate.
  6. In a small bowl, add panko or breadcrumbs and melted butter, stir with a fork to mix.
  7. Transfer chicken and marinade to a 9x12 nonstick baking dish.
  8. Sprinkle breadcrumb mixture over the top.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes.
  10. Remove foil and bake another 5 minutes to crisp up the top.
  11. We love this with wild rice and a vegetable side dish.
  12. Enjoy!
