Buttermilk Baked Chicken Drumsticks
- 1- 1/4 cup Buttermilk
- 1/2 teaspoons Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Onion Salt
- 8 whole Chicken Drumsticks
- 3/4 cups Panko Or Other Fine Breadcrumbs
- 3 Tablespoons Melted Sweet Cream Butter
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- In a large mixing bowl.
- add buttermilk, pepper, and onion salt.
- Mix together.
- Add chicken, stir so that chicken is evenly coated, and set aside to marinate.
- In a small bowl, add panko or breadcrumbs and melted butter, stir with a fork to mix.
- Transfer chicken and marinade to a 9x12 nonstick baking dish.
- Sprinkle breadcrumb mixture over the top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake another 5 minutes to crisp up the top.
- We love this with wild rice and a vegetable side dish.
