Apple Squares
- 4 oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
- 6 Tbsp. butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar, divided
- 2 tsp. vanilla, divided
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 2 large Granny Smith apples, peeled, thinly sliced
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup canned evaporated milk
- 1-1/3 cups BAKER'S ANGEL FLAKE Coconut
- 1 cup chopped PLANTERS Walnuts
- 1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed
- Heat oven to 350F.
- Beat cream cheese, butter, 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tsp.
- vanilla in large bowl with mixer until blended.
- Add flour and baking soda; mix well.
- Spread onto bottom of 13x9-inch pan sprayed with cooking spray.
- Top with apples; sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Whisk egg, milk and remaining vanilla in medium bowl until blended.
- Add coconut, nuts and remaining sugar; mix well.
- Spread over apples.
- Bake 35 min.
- or until golden brown.
- Cool completely.
- Serve topped with COOL WHIP.
