Country breakfast casserole

  1. Preheat oven to 325F (165 degrees C).
  2. Grease an 11x8 baking dish.
  3. Brown sausage in large skillet; drain fat.
  4. Combine sausage with green onion and spread evenly across the bottom of the baking dish.
  5. Top with the shredded cheese.
  6. In medium bowl wisk together eggs, water, milk, and gravy mix; add to the baking dish.
  7. Arrange bread squares on top.
  8. If desired Drizzle melted butter over bread and sprinkle with paprika.
  9. Bake 40 minutes in the oven, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Set aside 10 minutes before serving.
