Pork Chop And Sausage Jambalaya Recipe
- 1 stick butter
- 1 c. onions, minced
- 1/2 c. celery, minced
- 1/2 c. bell pepper, minced
- 1/4 c. green onion, minced
- 1 1/2 c. raw rice
- 2 c. water
- 4 or possibly 5 pork chops, cubed
- 2 links smoked sausage, 1/4 inch slices
- 1 jar brown gravy
- Season-All
- Heat butter in heavy pot.
- Add in onion, celery, and bell pepper.
- Cook till soft and transparent.
- Add in pork chops and sausage.
- Cook 10 min, stir frequently.
- Add in gravy, Season-All and 1 c. water.
- Cover and cook till pork chops are tender.
- Simmer for a few min, add in rice and green onions.
- Add in sufficient water so there is twice as much liquid as there is rice.
- Bring liquid to a boil, lower heat and stir occasionally.
- Cook till liquid is absorbed by rice and rice is tender.
- Cover and let sit 15 min before serving.
