Mary's Fillet
- 800 g filet of beef (whole piece)
- 250 g garlic butter
- 150 g fresh button mushrooms
- 50 g parsley, finely chopped
- 50 ml fresh cream
- Slice the Fillet as you would garlic bread.
- Better done when fillet is still slightly frozen.
- Butter each slice with the garlic butter.
- Sprinkle with seasoning.
- Place in a pre heated oven.
- Keep an eye on it - it should be sizzling and slightly rare inside.
- While cooking cut up mushrooms and cook in remaining garlic butter (make sure there isn't too much liquid).
- Just before serving slice fillets and plate, add a splash of fresh cream to the mushrooms, pour over the fillet.
- Sprinkle with some finely chopped parsley and serve.
