Apple Glazed Carrots With Bacon Recipe
- 2 slc Lf Turkey Bacon - Armour *Note
- 1 c. Minced Onion
- 32 ounce Baby Carrots
- 1 1/2 c. Apple Cider
- 1/4 c. Packed Brown Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Grnd Red Pepper
- 2 Tbsp. Minced Chives
- *NOTE: Original recipe used regular bacon
- Cook bacon slices in a small skillet over med heat till crisp.
- Remove bacon from skillet, and crumble.
- Add in onion to bacon drippings in skillet, and saute/fry 3 minutes.
- Add in carrots, cider, sugar, and pepper, and bring to a boil.
- Cook mix 10 minutes over med heat or possibly till carrots are tender.
- Don't drain.
- Place carrot mix in a large serving bowl.
- Sprinkle with the reserved bacon and chives.
- Yield: 8 servings
- NOTES : This was amazing!!
- Quite good, very easy and quick to combine.
