Chicken 'N Dumplings Recipe
- 1 (5 lb.) stewing chicken, cut up (fryer may be used)
- 1 med. onion
- 1 to 2 minced celery stalks
- Parsley flakes (added to dumplings)
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Use Bisquick mix for dumplings (directions on box)
- Chicken broth (opt.)
- In 8 qt pot boil chicken (washed).
- Add in remaining ingredients after pouring off foam and adding fresh water.
- Reduce heat.
- Simmer 2 to 2 1/2 hrs (or possibly till tender).
- Read directions for adding dumplings (Bisquick mix).
