Easy Chicken and Egg Rice Bowl with a Skillet
- 1 Chicken thigh meat
- 1 Onion
- 6 tbsp Mentsuyu (concentrate)
- 1 tbsp Dashi stock granules
- 400 ml Water
- 2 tsp Sugar
- 5 Egg
- 1 tbsp A) Sake
- 1 tbsp A) Soy sauce
- 3 pinch A) Salt
- Cut the chicken into bite sized pieces.
- Marinate with the A) seasonings (about 10 min).
- Put the onions in a pan.
- Add water and cover with a lid.
- Steam over medium heat for about 3 min.
- Flavor with mentsuyu and sugar.
- Dilute the mentsuyu to the amount of water on your preference.
- Add chicken and simmer (flip it over sometimes to cook through) Allow the liquid to evaporate.
- Swirl in the beaten eggs and cover with a lid until the eggs are cooked to your desired consistency.
- Transfer to a bowl of warm rice and it's done.
