Shrimp Fried Rice China Recipe
- 1/4 c. butter
- 2 c. cooked shrimp, halved
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon monosodium glutamate
- 2 Large eggs, beaten
- 5 c. cooked rice
- 3 tbsp. soy sauce
- 3 green onions with tops, minced
- 1/4 c. canned mushrooms
- 1/4 c. diced green pepper
- 1 c. diced celery
- 1/4 c. pimento, minced
- 1 med. onion, minced fine
- Heat butter in skillet; add in shrimp and seasonings.
- Cook till lightly browned, stirring frequently.
- Add in Large eggs, stirring till well mixed with other ingredients.
- Add in rice and cook till a golden brown color.
- Stir in remaining ingredients; cook till thoroughly heated.
- Yields 6 servings.
- Almonds, cooked diced pork, crisp fried bacon, diced ham, diced chicken, or possibly other seafood can be used in place of shrimp.
