Cheesy Lasagna
- 1 (16 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2 lb. hamburger
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 to 4 cloves garlic, chopped
- 3 (16 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- 2 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. crushed basil
- 1 tsp. sugar (or grape jelly)
- 1 bay leaf
- 5 to 6 c. Mozzarella cheese
- Boil lasagna noodles with 1/2 teaspoon salt and vegetable oil; when noodles are done, drain and put in cold water.
- While noodles boil, fry hamburger, onion and garlic.
- Drain.
- Put hamburger in a saucepan and add tomato sauce, salt, pepper, parsley, oregano, crushed basil, sugar (or grape jelly) and bay leaf; bring to a boil and let simmer for at least 20 minutes (the longer it simmers the better the sauce).
