Stuffed Turkey Burger Club Sandwich with Avocado
- 5 slices Bacon
- 3/4 pounds Ground Turkey
- 6 whole Sun-dried Tomatoes, Chopped
- 1 Tablespoon Grill Seasoning (I Like McCormick's Montreal Steak)
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 6 slices Sandwich Bread
- 4 pieces Romaine Lettuce Hearts
- 4 slices Tomato
- 1/2 whole Ripe Avocado
- 3 slices Swiss Cheese
- Begin by cooking the bacon in a frying pan over medium heat and setting it aside to cool.
- Drain the bacon grease from the pan but dont clean it; you will use it to cook the burgers and give them even more delicious bacon flavor!
- Once the bacon is cool enough to handle, take one piece and chop it into bite-sized pieces.
- Cut the other four slices in half and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, sun-dried tomatoes, chopped bacon and the grill seasoning.
- Form into two patties no more than an inch thick.
- Add the olive oil to the bacon pan and give it a good turn to coat the bottom of the pan and place the burgers in the skillet.
- Cook for about 10-12 minutes or until burgers are cooked through, turning once.
- While burgers are cooking, toast the bread, wash the lettuce and slice the tomato and avocado.
- When the burgers near the end of their cook time, top with cheese (1 and 1/2 slices per patty) and cover the pan to help it melt quicker.
- Assemble: bread, burger, avocado, bread, 4-half slices of bacon, tomato, lettuce and bread.
- Or any combination of your liking.
- Good luck getting your mouth around it!
