Ham Strata
- 20 slices bread with crust removed and cut into bite-size cubes
- 3 c. cubed, cooked ham
- 10 oz. grated cheese (Cheddar)
- 10 oz. grated Swiss cheese
- 9 eggs, beaten
- 3 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. onion salt
- 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1/2 c. butter, melted
- 3 c. crushed corn flakes
- Cover bottom of 9 x 13 greased pan with cubed bread pieces. Add 1/2 of cubed ham.
- Mix the 2 cheeses together and put 1/2 over ham and bread cubes.
- Repeat layers.
- Slightly beat the eggs and mix with milk, onion salt and seasoned salt.
- Pour over layers; cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Next day, melt butter.
- Add crushed corn flakes to butter; mix well.
- Sprinkle over strata. Bake at 50 to 60 minutes in 370u0b0 oven.
- Let set 10 minutes before serving.
- Serves 10 to 12.
- Can also use whatever cheese you have on hand.
