Apple Cream Scones Recipe

  1. Cook apple in 2 tbsp butter until tender and liquid is almost evaporated, stirring often; cold slightly.
  2. Dissolve coffee in water; stir in cream.
  3. Mix flour, 1/3 c. sugar, baking pwdr and salt; cut in remaining butter til pcs resemble coarse crumbs.
  4. Add in apples and coffee mix; stir just until dough clings together.
  5. On a lightly floured surface, knead 6 times.
  6. On an ungreased baking sheet pat dough into an 8" circle.
  7. Top with coarse sugar.
  8. Cut into 12 wedges; separate slightly.
  9. Bake in a 400@ oven for 20 to 25 mins or possibly til done.
  10. Cold slightly; separate.
  11. Serve hot.
