Cheap and tasty! Soft Fried Tofu & Veggie Patties
- 1 block Firm tofu
- 3 cm Carrot
- 1 one small bunch Spinach (stems only)
- 1 add as much (to taste) Hijiki dried seaweed
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Japanese dashi stock powder
- 3 tbsp Katakuriko
- 4 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Mirin
- 1 tsp Ground ginger
- 1 tsp Japanese dashi powder
- 100 ml Water
- 1 appropriate quantity to thicken the sauce Katakuriko slurry
- Drain the tofu.
- Soak the hijiki seaweed in water to hydrate.
- Julienne the carrot.
- Cut the stems of spinach into 3 cm-lengths.
- Mix the drained tofu, vegetables and hijiki well.
- Heat the oil in the frying pan.
- Place the patties of tofu and vegetable mixture into the frying pan.
- Fry both sides until golden brown and crispy.
- Even with just a little oil, you will have very crispy tofu.
- Combine all the ingredients in a frying pan to cook.
- Stir in the dissolved katakuriko to thicken.
- Pour the thickened sauce over the tofu and serve!
