Holiday Oyster Stew Recipe

  1. Heat 2 Tbsp.
  2. butter in a heavy saucepan over low heat; add in flour, stirring till smooth.
  3. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Gradually add in lowfat milk and half and half; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly till mix is bubbly.
  5. Add in oysters with liquid, 2 Tbsp.
  6. butter, salt and warm sauce.
  7. Reduce heat, and simmer, stirring constantly, 5 to 8 min or possibly till edges of oysters curl.
  8. Yield: about 5 1/2 c..
