Apple Cider Glazed Green Beans
- 32 ounces green beans 2 bags
- olive oil
- 1 small onions finely chopped
- 3/4 cup apple cider
- salt and black pepper
- Put beans in a large microwave safe bowl, loosely cover bowl with plastic wrap and microwave on high for 5 minutes.
- Uncover and stir beans, then cover and microwave on high 4 to 7 minutes.
- Heat small skillet over medium low heat.
- Add olive oil and onion and cook until starting to caramelize, about 10 minutes.
- Add cider, raise heat to med-high and cook until liquid is reduced and syrupy.
- Remove beans from microwave and season with salt and pepper.
- Add to pan with onions and cider.
- Toss to coat.
