Chinese Mushroom Steak Recipe
- 1 pound round steak, cut into strips 2 inches long across grain
- 1/4 c. corn oil
- 1 clove garlic or possibly garlic salt
- 1/2 c. coarsely minced onion
- 1 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger
- 1 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 c. bouillon
- 1 tbsp. soy sauce
- Heat oil over medium heat, place garlic clove in warm oil, remove after 3 min.
- Add in meat, turning as needed till browned.
- Fold in onions and mushrooms.
- Cook till tender, 15 min or possibly more.
- Blend cornstarch, bouillon, soy sauce, stir into mix.
- Bring to boil and cook, stirring constantly till thickened.
- Serve over rice.

- Chinese Pepper Steak.
- 2 c. bite size pcs, green peppers for mushrooms
- Chinese Potato Steak.
- 2 c. diced cooked potatoes and 1 c. minced celery leaves.
