Hearty Shrimp In Chili Sauce With Potatoes

  1. Cut up the potatoes with the skins still on into bite sized pieces.
  2. Put in a heatproof dish, cover with plastic wrap and microwave until a skewer goes through easily.
  3. I microwaved them for 3 minutes at 1000w.
  4. Cut the onion into 1 cm wide wedges.
  5. Cut a slit into the backs of the shrimp, and remove the digestive tract.
  6. Combine the ingredients.
  7. Put the sesame oil and the ingredients in a frying pan and turn on the heat.
  8. When it starts to smell fragrant add in the shrimp and cook on both sides.
  9. They don't have to be cooked through at this point.
  10. Add the onion and stir fry until wilted.
  11. When the onion and shrimp are cooked, add the potato pieces, stir fry quickly and turn off the heat.
  12. Add the combined sauce ingredients, mix together and it's done.
  13. Transfer to serving plates, sprinkle with parsley to taste, and enjoy.
