Hearty Shrimp In Chili Sauce With Potatoes
- 2 large Potatoes
- 1 i used 12 Shrimp
- 1 large Onion
- 1/2 tsp Grated garlic
- 1/2 tsp Grated ginger
- 1 tsp Doubanjiang
- 2 tbsp or more Sesame oil
- 1 Fresh parsley
- 3 tbsp Ketchup
- 3 tbsp Water
- 1 tbsp Sake
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1/2 tbsp Katakuriko
- Cut up the potatoes with the skins still on into bite sized pieces.
- Put in a heatproof dish, cover with plastic wrap and microwave until a skewer goes through easily.
- I microwaved them for 3 minutes at 1000w.
- Cut the onion into 1 cm wide wedges.
- Cut a slit into the backs of the shrimp, and remove the digestive tract.
- Combine the ingredients.
- Put the sesame oil and the ingredients in a frying pan and turn on the heat.
- When it starts to smell fragrant add in the shrimp and cook on both sides.
- They don't have to be cooked through at this point.
- Add the onion and stir fry until wilted.
- When the onion and shrimp are cooked, add the potato pieces, stir fry quickly and turn off the heat.
- Add the combined sauce ingredients, mix together and it's done.
- Transfer to serving plates, sprinkle with parsley to taste, and enjoy.
