Strawberries and Strawberry Ice Cream with Balsamic Vinegar

• 1 quart strawberries, washed, stemmed, halved
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
• 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
• 1 cup strawberry ice cream

1. Place strawberries in a bowl.
2. Sprinkle with sugar, vinegar and pepper.
3. Toss until well combined.
4. Let stand 1 hour or all day.
5. Divide the ice cream into 4 serving dishes.
6. Top with 1/4 of the strawberries and the juice.
7. Serve immediately.
