Easy and Healthy Oil-free Grilled Horse Mackerel with Nanban Sauce
- 4 cuts Horse mackerel
- 1 dash Salt
- 1 Onion
- 1/2 Carrot
- 5 tbsp Soy sauce
- 5 tbsp Vinegar
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Shiro-dashi
- Remove the guts and spiny scute from the tail end, sprinkle salt over the fish, then grill both sides.
- Thinly slice the onion, and julienne the carrot.
- Put the ingredients in a large frying pan, then add the onion and carrots.
- Bring to a boil, then turn off the heat.
- When the fish finishes grilling, add them to the frying pan.
- Put the onion and carrots on top of the fish.
- Flip over the fish after 5 minutes.
- The flavors will absorb in 10 minutes.
- Serve once it has simmered to your liking.
