Meatloaf Haters Meatloaf

  1. Mix about 1/2 to 2/3 the jar of chili sauce and everything else together well.
  2. I have found that mixing with my hands is the best way to get it all mixed well.
  3. If you wanted to add veggies and stuff, go for it.
  4. I just dont do that.
  5. I do not add bread crumbs to my mixture either.
  6. Occasionally I will add an egg, but not usually.
  7. Depends on my mood.
  8. :O)
  9. Form a loaf and put on a shallow baking pan.
  10. I do not use a loaf pan because when I have, it tends to dry it out.
  11. I know that doesnt make sense, but it happens.
  12. Plus, you want the grease that comes from the meat as it cooks to drain off.
  13. Spread a little of the remaining chili sauce on top and cook at 350F for about 30 to 40 minutes.
  14. Depending on your loaf, cooking time may be more or less.
  15. I make my loaf so that a slice will cover a piece of bread (thinking about leftovers already).
  16. Once meat is done, spread remaining chili sauce over top, return to oven and leave in for about 5 minutes or so to heat the chili sauce.
  17. I have made this with two jars of chili sauce.
  18. When I do that, I use almost the entire jar, if not all, in the meat.
  19. Then, I spread quite a bit on top prior to cooking and let it mix with the grease.
  20. I use that for a gravy of sorts and have mashed potatoes with it.
  21. YUM!
  22. If you do this though, bear in mind that I use ground sirloin and there is very little fat that drains off.
