Burger Trittini Recipe
- 2 lb grnd beef
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 med onion, chopped
- 1 tsp oregano leaves
- 15 ounce tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 12 ounce tomato paste
- 20 ounce frzn spinach, thawed
- 4 1/2 ounce sliced mushrooms, liquid removed
- 16 ounce cottage cheese
- 2 tsp basil
- 8 ounce mozzarella, shredded
- 2 tsp sugar
- Cook grnd beef and onion on medium high till brown.
- Drain fat.
- Add in next seven ingredients; heat to boiling.
- Reduce heat.
- Simmer, uncovered, till thickened.
- squeeze liquid from spinach.
- Combine with cottage cheese.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Spoon meat mix into 13x9" baking dish.
- Sprinkle 1/2 of mozzarella cheese.
- Top with spinach.
- Sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top.
- Bake at 350F for 25-30 min till warm and bubbly.
