Cowboy Beans
- 350 g green beans
- 400 g baby potatoes
- 400 g pickling onions
- 250 g back bacon
- 400 ml water
- 1 cup creme fraiche
- 250 g cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried garlic
- 1 teaspoon lemon pepper
- 1 teaspoon aroma seasoning
- 1 teaspoon mixed herbs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Slice the green beans, peel the baby potatoes and the pickling onions.
- Dice the bacon and grate the cheese.
- In a pot fry bacon and garlic until cooked but not crispy add crushed garlic, lemon pepper, aroma seasoning, mixed herbs and salt fry for another two minutes.
- Add the green beans, baby potatoes, pickling onions and water.
- Cook until soft and all liquid has been absorbed add more water during cooking if necessary.
- When all the water has been absorbed and the beans, onions and potatoes are soft add the creme fraiche and cheese mix well heat through and serve.
