German Chocolate Pie
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 2 tablespoons good cocoa
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 eggs
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 23 cup milk
- 34 cup shredded coconut
- 12 cup pecans (walnuts)
- 1 teaspoon real vanilla
- 9 inches unbaked pie shells
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Combine sugar, cornstarch, flour, cocoa, and salt.
- Add eggs, butter and milk, then coconut, nuts and vanilla.
- Pour into pie shell and bake 35-40 minutes.
- Top will be crusty and firm.
